The Columbia Marionette Theatre presents a charming adaptation of L. Frank Baum's classic, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Follow Dorothy as she is carried by a menacing tornado to the magical Land of Oz. Meet the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion and travel to the Emerald City. Watch out for the Wicked Witch; she is following Dorothy's every move! CMT's production captures all of the adventure and excitement as Dorothy explores this strange new world on her quest to get back home.
Performances every Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., and the third Monday of every month at 10:00 a.m. Tickets are $5 each and are available online or at the door. Due to the popularity of the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, we've extended the run until Saturday, May 26.
*Field trips for groups may be available during the week and can be arranged via phone call or email. Prices may vary according to group size.
CMT Receives Award from Cultural Council
Each year Columbia's Cultural Council provides support for CMT through grants which help keep our doors open to families and children across the state. This year, the Council recognized CMT as an "exemplary grantee in the Education category" at their annual Founders Dinner black tie gala.
CMT in Slovenia
CMT recently had the privilege of touring Slovenia, a beautiful country surrounded by Italy, Croatia, Austria, and Hungary. The theatre received a grant from the U.S. Embassy to bring our most elaborate traveling show, Tales of Edgar Allan Poe, to Slovenia and perform it in five different cities throughout the country.

Celebrating a birthday -- or any special occasion -- at the puppet theatre will be a party your child or group will never forget! We have 4 themed party areas to choose from – Land of Oz, Dino Park, Undersea Kingdom or the Medieval Castle.
